Ryan Schmid

OWNER

Ryan was born and raised just south of Madison in the small town of Brooklyn. He grew up on a 50-cow family dairy farm just outside of town and where he started developing his skills as a carpenter and a love for learning. Growing up both of his parents were in the trades. His dad is a finished carpenter, and his mom is a post-construction cleaner. From a young age, he was in or around a job site.

Once attending Oregon High School he was accepted into the school's home construction program and spent his junior and senior years helping build new construction homes. Once graduated in the class of 2007 his goal was to go into the trades.

The housing bubble was in the midst of bursting and the choice was made to attend UW Stevens Point. He graduated in the class of 2012 with a Bachelor of Science - Pre - Physical Therapy. From 2013 to 2018 he worked in medical device sales and volunteered as an EMT and Firefighter for the town of Brooklyn.

After years of suit and tie it was time to come back into the trades. 2018 Rhino Construction was officially started and a lifelong goal of being an entrepreneur was finally realized. He prides himself on customer service and staying at the forefront of building technologies and how they are implemented.
